Diablo/Freud Tools is looking for a content creator intern to assist our multimedia team in developing video content for our company-owned channels and social media platforms. You are currently at a college or university pursuing a degree in video production, new media or a related degree and are interested in gaining real-world experience with an industry-leading organization. Previous knowledge of construction products and/or power tools is not required.

Job Description



The video content creator intern works alongside the multimedia manager and other content creators to assist in video creation for upcoming campaigns, events, and social media. This position assists with pre- and post-production processes. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in developing, creating, and curating video content for our websites, social media channels, other digital platforms, and events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and generate new ideas for video content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform content strategy.

This internship will be 15-20 hours a week from September-December 2024. This role is not remote.

Qualifications

  • Current university student in good standing (min. 3.0 GPA); pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in video production, new media, or a related field of study
  • Able and willing to work on-site
  • Experience with audio-visual equipment and content development
  • Solid experience with digital video technology and video editing software packages, including Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Must be able to visually tell a story through content creation
  • Experience pitching ideas and story lines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to keep abreast of content and trends in video production
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Able to work within a PC environment
