Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator with 4-5 years of dedicated platform administration experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Tableau environments and will be proficient in platform configuration, performance optimization, and security management. This is not a development role but strictly focuses on the administration and maintenance of the Tableau platform. Experience with cloud-based platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the Tableau Server environment, including installation, upgrades, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Monitor Tableau Server performance and ensure high availability and security compliance.
• Administer user roles, permissions, and security settings in accordance with organizational policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau Server and Tableau Online, providing support to end-users.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to manage data connectivity and integration with various cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Tableau environments.
• Automate administrative tasks and improve overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience in Tableau Server administration, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture, including user roles, permissions, and security.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for Tableau administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Tableau Online administration.
• Familiarity with Tableau licensing models and server resource planning.
• Knowledge of networking, firewall configurations, and SSL certificates in relation to Tableau Server.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
