Packaging/Production Assistant - Coffee Roastery

Caffe Luxxe is looking for a production assistant to join our team based at our headquarters and coffee roaster in Gardena.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person will assist the Operations and Production Supervisor with tasks associated with order processing, fulfillment, and warehouse management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picking, packing, and shipping activities related to retail and wholesale customer orders.
• Package roasted coffee and tea for retail, online purchases, and wholesale orders in our warehouse/production facility, and preparing/staging packages for shipping and delivery; including but not limited to weighing, sealing, stickering, printing materials, and processing.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining inventory and operational efficiency of the warehouse; check items in and out of inventory, ensuring full accuracy and quality assurance.
• Maintaining continuous communication with the supervisor for status updates.
• Upkeep and maintenance of warehouse and production/packaging area (i.e. cleaning, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.) +
• Food production and bottling (kombucha, oatmeal, tea, etc.)
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be efficient and comfortable in multi-tasking and fast-paced work environment.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to stay focused on a singular task for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Good communication skills.
• Confident with simple yet quick math calculations.
• Clear handwriting.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Highly organized.
• Enthusiastic learner.
• Focus on detail, quality, and accuracy.
• Ability to take direction and work under close supervision.
• CA driver's license and clean driving record required.

LOCATION:
This position is based in Gardena at our roasting facility.

SALARY:
The position is full-time 40 hrs/wk. You must be flexible for any shift Mon-Fri (likely schedule will be 7:30am-4pm, M-F). Salary DOE.

Caffe Luxxe owns and operates 7 cafes throughout LA (with more on the way) and its own coffee roastery located in the South Bay.
