Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our tax team as a remote, full-time or part-time contract Tax Preparer for the upcoming tax season, from late January to April 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are available for seasonal work and enjoy helping clients with their tax preparation needs.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and trusts
Estimate tax liabilities for clients
Manage workflows, data storage, and tax returns using a paperless system
Input tax return data using Thomson Reuters UltraTax software
Utilize Thomson Reuters TaxCaddy and SurePrep for efficient tax preparation
Conduct tax research with Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Edge
Collaborate closely with the tax team and wealth managers to ensure outstanding client service

Qualifications
Active CPA or EA license required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing individual income tax returns
Proficient with technology, tax research, and data organization
Passionate about research and analysis
Confident, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
Experience with UltraTax and Checkpoint tax research preferred
Ability to manage deadlines and tackle creative challenges
Reliable computer setup for remote work
Must reside in the U.S.
