About the Position: (This is not a 100% remote position/ MANDATORY IN OFFICE: Tuesday & Wednesday) First Book is applying technology and business approaches to the challenge of providing all children in the US and Canada with access to books. First Book currently serves more than 20,000 Title I schools, afterschool initiatives, clinics, shelters, and a wide variety of other programs serving children in need. Though powerful, First Book is only reaching a small fraction of the approximately 2 million programs and Title I classrooms eligible for our help. We have exciting opportunities to use technology to serve more and more of these programs and are looking for a Salesforce- Administrator to join our technology team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Salesforce Sales and Service: Collaborate with our sales and service teams to maintain and enhance Salesforce CRM to support corporate sales pipelines, eCommerce distribution operations, donor management, and customer support processes.
- Ecommerce and Marketing Cloud: Implement and optimize ecommerce and marketing cloud solutions within Salesforce to drive eCommerce distribution campaigns, engage donors, and expand our reach to educators.
- NPSP Fundraising: Customize and manage NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) to support fundraising activities, donor relations, and reporting requirements.
- Retail Management Solution: Implement and maintain retail management solutions within Salesforce including case management, order management, inventory management and reporting for eCommerce Operations.
- Signature Success: Partner with stakeholders across departments to ensure successful adoption of Salesforce solutions, aligning with our organizational goals and objectives.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and optimize reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making for our key programs.
- Automation: Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Flow, and Lightning App Builder.
- Financial Management: Manage enhancements and automation to Accounting Seed our financial management package that is built on Salesforce.
- Data Clean Up and Accuracy: Implement data cleaning processes and ensure data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce CRM to support informed decision-making and program evaluation.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff members at all levels, promoting better use of Salesforce and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, educators, and community partners, to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and drive successful Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
- Daily administration and support of First Book Salesforce database including but not limited to managing multiple user setup, profiles and roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts and validations.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator required with demonstrated expertise in implementing and customizing Salesforce solutions.
- Proficiency in data integration, reporting, and analytics tools, including Tableau or similar BI (Business Intelligence) platforms.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce and marketing principles required, with experience implementing ecommerce solutions within Salesforce.
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector and familiarity with NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including staff and community partners.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, automation, and user adoption initiatives within Salesforce CRM.
- Experience with retail management solutions and financial management within the Salesforce environment.
- Close attention to detail, and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects simultaneously.
Following qualifications a plus :
- Experience with Accounting Seed and Scribe.
- Experience with Classy, Pardot and other SF ecosystem tools.
- Experience with Salesforce AI Tools.
- Experience with programming languages such as PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, APEX.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) required; additional certifications such as Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Marketing Cloud Consultant preferred.
