Job Description

Vagaro's HR/Talent team is searching for a Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist to spearhead the entire new hire journey. You'll source and screen top talent, guide them through a positive interview process, and design engaging onboarding programs that ensure new hires feel valued and empowered to succeed from day one, shaping Vagaro's reputation as an employer of choice.

*Position reports to  Pleasanton , CA- Onsite position*

How you will contribute

Recruitment Responsibilities:

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for roles within Vagaro. 
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing channels (e.g., job boards, social media, networking) to attract top candidates. 
  • Evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit. 
  • Manage the entire recruitment process, including candidate communication, negotiation, and offer management. 
  • Provide clear and consistent communication with candidates throughout the process. 
  • Support employer branding initiatives to enhance Vagaro's reputation as an employer of choice. 
  • Promote Vagaro's culture and values to attract high-quality candidates. 
  • Work closely with hiring managers and the HR/Talent team to understand staffing needs and job requirements. 
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Onboarding Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate new hire orientation sessions.
  • Manage all new employee pre and post hire paperwork in Paycom (HRIS).
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and other departments to deliver a smooth onboarding experience. 
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies during and after employee onboarding. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of hiring and onboarding activities. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 1-2 years experience in recruitment and onboarding, preferably within an HR/Talent department. 
  • Familiarity with HR systems, Applicant Tracking systems, and project management tools e.g., Asana. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities. 
  • Proficiency in sourcing and screening candidates using various methods and tools. 
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
