Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Physical Education Teacher to add to our team of passionate and caring Christian educators who will help us enhance the intellectual, spiritual and social development of our children. Your duties will include planning, implementing and assessing lessons, designing a teaching plan and using activities and instructional methods to motivate and engage K-8 students.

You should be a qualified professional with great attention to children's needs and be able to teach children with patience and creativity.

Physical Education Teacher responsibilities are:

1. Develop and deliver engaging physical education lessons that are consistent with the school's mission and values, promoting physical fitness, health, and wellness.
2. Create a positive and safe learning environment for all students, ensuring that behavioral rules align with Christian values such as respect, kindness, and teamwork.
3. Assess and evaluate student progress in physical education, using a variety of methods such as observation, participation, and testing.
4. Provide individualized instruction and support to students, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and offering suggestions for improvement.
5. Collaborate with colleagues in other subject areas to integrate physical education with other disciplines, incorporating biblical values throughout.
6. Maintain and care for equipment and materials used in physical education classes, ensuring that they are used appropriately and safely.
7. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress in physical education, providing constructive feedback and support while also respecting the privacy and confidentiality of each student.
8. Attend meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in physical education and Christian education.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant teaching standards, safety regulations, and school policies, while also modeling Christian values and behavior for students.

Salary: $47,000 - $58,000

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• ACSI or FLDOE Certification
