Per Diem Hospice Aide CNA for Sierra Vista and the surrounding area

Responsibilities:

• Perform personal care needs for assigned patients, attending to their requests promptly
• Ensure the safety of patients and use equipment safely and properly
• Provide personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and changing bed linen
• Assist patients with dressing, undressing, and feeding
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping
• Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Monitor and report changes in patient's condition to the Case Manager
• Assist with ambulation, exercise, and range of motion exercises
• Provide respite care for patients and their families/caregivers
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient's living area
• Adhere to documentation and care procedures, and uphold professional conduct standards

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a state-approved training program for hospice aides or certified nursing assistants
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfortable providing specialized care
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
