Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee and manage our payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in HRIS and Payroll management.
• Assist in transitioning from the existing Payroll software and implementing the new system.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company policies.
• Prepare and review payroll reports, including tax filings, garnishments, benefits deductions, and other withholdings.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and related matters in a timely and professional manner.
• Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation and distribution.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Support internal and external audits by providing payroll-related documentation and reports as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multi-state environment.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Paychex) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
