The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).

Location: 9709 Third Ave NE, Seattle, WA (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Floor)

Schedule Options:

• Shared Operations (Primary Care/Specialty) - 2nd or 3rd Floor
• • Open: Monday-Friday, 6:45am-3:15pm
  • Mid: Monday-Friday, 7:15am-3:45pm
  • Close: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm
• Urgent Care - 1st Floor
  • Monday-Wednesday 6:45am-7pm with one additional 4-hour shift

All shifts may require flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Applies knowledge/skills to activities that often vary from day to day
• Demonstrates a moderate level of knowledge and skills in own function
• Requires little assistance with standard and non-standard requests
• Solves routine problems on own
• Works with supervisor to solve more complex problems
• Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines
• Works with others as part of a team
• Assist physicians, as required in coordination of care for patients
• Works collaboratively with Centralized Services to support patient needs
• Establish and maintain relationships with service providers for patient’s coordination of care
• Ensures work is being performed according to company policies, procedures, and standards
• Provides high quality care and service excellence to our patients
• Performs other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
• Participates in a variety of department initiatives
• Ensures all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations are followed
• Follows proper reporting protocols for any compliance or incident reporting as needed
• Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• 1+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of electronic medical record experience
• Previous health insurance knowledge

The salary range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
