Job Description
As a Patient Care Advocate within our Specialty Pharmacy division, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and support. Your primary focus will be on maintaining proactive communication with patients and healthcare providers to guarantee accurate prescription processing and optimal medication adherence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as a dedicated liaison between our Specialty Pharmacy, patients, and healthcare providers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
Ensure all essential information, including insurance verification, is promptly gathered to expedite prescription orders effectively.
Assist in collecting vital clinical outcomes data from patients and maintain accurate records within our software systems.
Educate patients and healthcare provider office staff about our comprehensive range of programs and services, promoting understanding and accessibility.
Facilitate prescription refills by communicating effectively with patients and coordinating with our pharmacy dispensing software.
Address medication-related inquiries or concerns by referring them to licensed healthcare professionals.
Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient and provider interactions.
Coordinate delivery schedules with patients, confirm addresses, provide co-payment information, and offer assistance with payment options.
Support prior authorization processes and guide under/uninsured patients towards appropriate assistance programs.
Stay abreast of emerging treatment trends to ensure informed patient care.
Relay patient status updates promptly to healthcare provider offices and clinics while upholding strict confidentiality.
Demonstrate adept problem-solving abilities and work independently to achieve objectives.
Uphold a track record of attention to detail by accurately managing patient deliveries over specified periods.
Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required: Licensed Pharmacy Technician registered with the State of Florida.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of relevant customer service experience.
Prior experience in insurance, medical, or pharmacy settings preferred.
Meet state requirements for national certification (CPhT) or complete board-approved training programs as necessary.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
This position primarily operates within a standard office environment, involving prolonged periods of sitting and standing in front of a computer. Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are required for operating office equipment. Occasional high-stress situations may arise when dealing with customers, clients, or colleagues.
