Position Overview:As a Customer Service Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients regarding their billing concerns. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound calls, explain billing statements, resolve claims issues, and provide outstanding customer service with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to inbound calls from patients regarding their medical bills.

Answer billing-related questions and clearly explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Investigate and resolve claims issues in a timely and effective manner.

Process payments and manage patient billing inquiries with accuracy.

Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical customer service, preferably in a call center setting.

Background in a medical front office environment is a plus, but high-volume call handling experience is essential.

Familiarity with medical billing processes is required.

Experience with Athena EMR is beneficial but not mandatory.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and active listening skills with a patient-centered approach.

Compensation:

Hourly pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
