Join our dynamic healthcare team as a detail-oriented Medical Billing Supervisor. We are committed to accurate billing practices while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. In this role, you will oversee the billing process for patients and third-party payers, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Account for the coding and abstraction of patient encounters, including diagnostic and procedural information.
Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines.
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert to coding staff, providing guidance and support.
Review medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and ensure accurate billing.
Audit clinical documentation and coded data to validate services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
Assist in orienting, training, and mentoring staff to maintain a high standard of billing practices.
Review and verify accuracy of billing data, submit claims to insurance companies, and follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles.
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies in payments and appeal denied claims.
Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances, and conduct patient follow-up as needed.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (Certified Professional Coder) required.
Proficiency in medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis coding.
Familiarity with insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail in data entry.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Qualifications:

Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred.
