Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Independent Contractor to join our team as a Medical Biller specializing in Oral Surgery, Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep, and Medicare billing. Ability to review all denials and ensure the accuracy of the explanation of benefits or resolve any issues.
Responsibilities:

Review and submit clean claims with appropriate modifiers to insurance companies electronically or using the 1500 form.
Verify insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with provider contracts and patient benefits.
Perform collection actions, including liaising between clients and insurance companies via phone and online platforms.
Utilize A/R reporting to review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
Ensure the accuracy of explanation of benefits and help resolve any issues with denials.
Expectations and Commitment:

Use your own computer that meets our IT requirements.
Have at least 2 years of dedicated billing experience with either Health Fusion or AdvancedMD.
Maintain a dedicated workspace with a reliable computer, printer, and high-speed internet.
Possess a deep understanding of EOBs and the ability to accurately post payments and adjustments.
Be self-directed, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Highly disciplined and detail-oriented, able to review account ledgers and EOBs quickly and efficiently to ensure appropriate payments and adjustments.
