Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Medical Billing Coordinator with a customer-first mentality to join our remote Operations team on a full-time basis.

As a Medical Billing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate completion of all billing functions, including insurance billing and payment processing for our clients. Your role will require excellent data entry and multitasking skills, coupled with outstanding problem-solving abilities and organizational prowess to navigate multiple billing systems effectively.

Responsibilities:

Resolve failed claims and denials promptly and accurately.
Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for various types of insurance.
Update patient demographics, insurance details, and billing information in the database/billing system.
Identify, research, and process refunds and overpayments.
Investigate and resolve unbilled and no-response claims to ensure timely submission.
Handle telephone calls and written correspondence from patients and insurance companies professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in medical billing and coding.
Strong understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology.
Proficiency in data entry and use of billing software.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
