The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the New York State Department of Education and is preferred to have two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. The LPN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN will provide nursing support to individuals as required, including assisting with direct care of Individuals when necessary. Review staff documentation related to weights, seizures, bowel management, equipment, glucometer readings, vital signs, etc., and take appropriate action if indicated.
