Job Summary:

As an Interpreter, you will be the essential link between Korean and English speakers in our office and manufacturing settings. Your role is pivotal in facilitating clear and confidential communication, from onboarding new hires to supporting legal proceedings, ensuring smooth operations across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Communication: Serve as the go-to interpreter for a wide range of scenarios including new hire orientations, company benefits discussions, medical appointments, and legal matters. Your work will ensure that everyone is on the same page.
• Translate Documents: Provide precise translations of written materials such as emails, company policies, and legal documents, ensuring clear understanding across the board.
• Support Operations: Assist plant floor staff by interpreting operational work instructions related to safety, quality, engineering, purchasing, and IT. Your interpretations will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee and company information with the utmost discretion, ensuring confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Korean and English, with strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Experience: Prior interpretation experience is preferred, along with a background in a manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Cultural Understanding: Familiarity with both US and Korean cultural norms is important to effectively bridge communication gaps.

Physical Requirements:

• Office and Industrial Environment: This role requires flexibility to navigate both office and manufacturing environments, including sitting at a computer, walking, standing, and occasionally climbing stairs.
