Location: Austin preferred however remote with requirement to travel for business needs.
Basic Purpose:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) leads the creation, alignment, and successful execution of customer business plans for all Hain brands at Whole Foods Market. A successful candidate will utilize enterprise resources (company + agency partners) to accelerate profitable share growth through distribution, pricing, shelving, and finding new opportunities. The candidate will bring a growth mindset to Whole Foods, aligned with the ‘Hain Reimagined’ objectives and goals for transformational growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering volume, distribution, trade, and profit goals for Hain brands at Whole Foods
- Lead the creation, alignment and execution of customer business plans to accelerate profitable grow
- Prepare presentations and attend account calls to present compelling, fact-based selling stories using syndicated data, general market trends, retailer market knowledge, and corporate developed initiatives
- Use category management principles across 4P's (price, promotion, placement, product) to influence distribution, share of shelving and display activities
- Create and commercialize joint business plans
- Effectively partner with cross-functional partners (Brand, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Development, Finance, and Supply Chain) to deliver customer solutions that focus on volume, share, and ROI goals
- Manage agency partner relationships to drive sales, alignment, priorities, and execute best in class customer plans
- Manage trade investment systems, forecast, insights, and budgets to maximize execution & results
- Activate strategies and tactics using an understanding of the customer's pricing, promotional strategies, and the competitive environment to drive trial and loyalty to Hain products.
- The face of Hain with Whole Foods – owning the customer relationship, transactions, and partnership
- Takes personal accountability and ownership for results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales capacity with a Consumer Packaged Goods company, Distributor or Broker Network
- Experience calling on Whole Foods or Natural Channel Customer

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively and succinctly
- Conflict resolution skills that drive alignment and clear action steps
- Ability to interpret account specific data, translate relevant information, and present findings internally and externally
- Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint
Hours and Travel
* Ability to travel as required for customer meetings, business planning, and other necessary activities
Compensation and Benefits:
- $90,000 -$155,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
