Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seek a Government Contract Intern who will support the Government Contract Specialist in identifying, researching, and pursuing contract opportunities within the government sector. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about government procurement processes, contract management, and the intricacies of working with government agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on government procurement platforms (SAM.gov, state, and local websites) to identify potential contract opportunities.
  • Assist in the analysis of RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents.
  • Support the preparation of bid proposals, including data gathering, document formatting, and proofreading.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of contract databases and tracking systems.
  • Learn about government regulations and compliance requirements related to contracting.
  • Assist with contract administration tasks as needed, such as document filing and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in learning about government contracting and procurement.

Location:   Remote  

Length of appointment:  Flexible with class schedules.

 

Time commitment: 10-20 hours per week, depending on availability.  

Support provided:  You'll have a dedicated supervisor and receive detailed instructions throughout the process. .
