SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the fundraising functions that support Commonwealth Catholic Charities' fund development initiatives and goals, as well as those of the Mission Advancement Department. The role includes stewarding existing donors, funders, and volunteers while actively developing new funding relationships through research, cultivation, grant writing, and campaign execution. This position is essential in driving CCC's fundraising efforts and ensuring the sustainability of its programs and services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Responsible for researching, preparing, writing, and submitting 40+ grant proposals annually as directed by the Director of Development and the VP of Mission Advancement. Communicate effectively with program staff to gather necessary data, information, and stories for high-quality proposals. Collect and review information from program staff to prepare and submit high-quality grant reports ahead of deadlines. Update funder records, track open opportunities and active grants, and maintain a comprehensive calendar of all grant proposals and reporting deadlines. Responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with new funding partners and stewarding existing funders Assist Community Engagement Officers with the planning and execution of fundraising and friend-raising events as needed, contributing to successful outcomes. Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential donors, assisting with middle market giving initiatives to meet annual fundraising goals. Accurately record contributed revenue with proper revenue coding to ensure seamless tracking and reporting. Develop and deliver time-sensitive written and video communications to acknowledge and thank donors for their contributions. Maintain accurate and uniform donor and gift records within the donor database with a strong focus on data integrity. Generate reports as requested to support fundraising activities. Conduct monthly comparisons of contributed revenue records from the Mission Advancement team with the finance department's records to ensure accuracy and consistency. Provide database assistance to Community Engagement and volunteer coordinators as needed to help manage volunteer-related information. Meet all deadlines as instructed by the Director of Fund Development and the VP of Mission Advancement, ensuring timely execution of all responsibilities. Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills Utilizes a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, donor database (Customer Relationship Management System) and all other software applications and digital platforms used by the Mission Advancement Team. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required with three years of related nonprofit experience; programmatic experience strongly preferred. Three years grant writing experience required.
