About the Role:
Oakbridge is seeking a Data Analyst to support our business strategies by providing innovative data solutions. This is a newly created position that will collaborate closely with the existing team to develop, maintain, and enhance Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The successful candidate will help our executive team and business units analyze financial performance and trends for strategic decision-making. Please note: This position is only open to candidates local to the South Eastern, USA, as there will be times the individual must report to the office. No sponsorship is available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• BI Solutions Development: Collaborate with the VP of FP&A and CIO to create and enhance BI solutions, focusing on data wrangling, quality management, and report development.
• Data Lakehouse Optimization: Optimize the Databricks data lakehouse for efficient data processing and analytics.
• Power BI Reporting: Develop and manage Power BI reports to meet business requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve data processing and reporting issues.
• Data Modeling: Assist in developing data models and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in data integration and BI platform development.
• Technical experience with ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Databricks, Power BI, and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business concepts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the role.
• Experience interacting with and presenting to senior leadership.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Python or Scala for data processing in Databricks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with the Insurance Brokerage business model.
