Job Description
A growing, regional construction contractor in Dallas is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager / Controller to lead their accounting and finance functions. As a medium-sized company they are growth focused in the next several years through geographic expansion!
The Role
The Senior Accounting Manager or Controller will be responsible for the company's daily accounting, monthly reporting, annual financial planning, all while overseeing the critical financial aspects of the company. The right individual must understand various general accounting functions including the order to cash cycle, cost accounting journal entries, reconciliations, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable and asset and depreciation schedules. This position will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, check requests and clearing payments, while also preparing journal entry allocations for all expenses, and managing payroll and insurance payments. As the recently acquired companies are moving from entrepreneurial founders/owners to professional management, experience transitioning processes and controls to a more compliant environment is essential.

These are skills that will make you successful in this position along with the following skillset:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting degree a plus, CPA is also a plus but not required
* Experience in Construction and/or Real Estate
* Yardi Proficient
* Expertise leading a team of 4+
* Investment level accounting
* Treasury Management
* Financial Reporting
* Demonstrated ability to build a team, develop people and train talented but less experienced accounting and finance professionals.
